CSU CHORAL ENSEMBLES
CSU Chamber Choir - Under the direction of Dr. James Kim, this top-select choir of 24 to 28 singers performs a wide variety of repertoire. CSU Chamber Choir has been featured at many honor festivals, conventions, and workshops, including International Sacred Choral Music Festival and Changwon Grand-Prix Choral Festival & Competition in Korea. In November 2006, they sang at the National Collegiate Choral Organization’s Inaugural Conference in San Antonio. They have been invited to sing again at the national conference in November 2009 at Yale University. In February 2010, they will be featured at the ACDA Regional Conference in Denver, Colorado. Recently, Aspen Music Festival and School invited Dr. Kim and the Chamber Choir to perform at the Benedict Tent in collaboration with the Aspen/Santa Fe Ballet Company.
CSU Concert Choir- A select group of 50 to 75 singers that performs major choral/orchestral works, as well as smaller choral repertoire. Concert Choir sang at the annual Colorado All-State Choir Festival in 2007 and was invited to tour Aspen/Glenwood Springs area by Aspen Music Festival Educational Outreach Program in 2008.
CSU Women's Chorus - A select group of 30-40 ladies that performs classical repertoire as well as non-classical repertoire. Both Men's and Women's Choir are featured at the annual All-Choral Holiday Concert. Women's Choir hosts fund-raising events and plans to tour regionally. Open to all CSU women.
CSU Chorus- The University Chorus is open to all, whether you like to sing in the shower or on the stage! This choral ensemble is the largest and most diverse on campus with around 100+ singers. This ensemble can help you learn about the basics of beautiful, healthy singing. You don't need an audition — just show up at rehearsal and join in!
