The CSU string faculty invites string quartets for an eight week session each semester. Each quartet receives one hour of coaching each week from the CSU string faculty and a public master class is given in the middle of each session. A final public performance closes the program.

In the spring semester, the final event is a two-day festival with our quartet in residence – The “Borromeo” string quartet. This is a very intensive two days of rehearsals, coaching sessions, master classes and performances. What is learned at this festival tends to have a lasting impact on our students, and it is a lot of fun for everyone!
