Under the direction of Dr. Todd Queen, the Colorado State Opera Theatre performs a variety of operatic repertoire, ranging from fully staged operas with orchestra (Floyd's Susannah, Britten's Albert Herring), one-act operas with piano (Bernstein's Trouble in Tahiti), and opera scenes spanning the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and modern eras. Auditions for CSOT are held at the beginning of each semester. Past prodcutions include Verdi’s Aida, in collaboration with Opera Fort Collins, Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, Cole Porter’s Kiss Me Kate, Benjamin Britten's The Rape of Lucretia, and Verdi's Falstaff. This Fall, don't miss Kurt Weill's Street Scene, An American Opera. Open to all CSU students by audition.
