University Symphony Orchestra

University Symphony Orchestra - offers training in orchestral repertoire, routine and discipline with emphasis on the larger romantic and contemporary literature. There are usually two scheduled concerts per semester plus occasional special appearances. Soloists are chosen from the music faculty and visiting guest artists. The final concert of the years is Honor Night, featuring student winners of the annual Concerto Competition performing with the orchestra. Auditions are required. Wes Kenney, conductor.

Chamber Orchestra

Chamber Orchestra - a small, versatile unit. It explores the Baroque period literature and classics of Haydn and Mozart as well as contemporary works. Selected players from this group also play in the pit orchestra for the annual musical. Auditions not required. Steven McNeal, conductor.
