    Janet Morrow King is Associate Professor of Voice, Assistant Chair, and coordinator of the Voice Area at Colorado State University. She holds a doctor of Musical Arts degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Minnesota as well as a BM in Vocal Performance from the University of Redlands and MM degrees in Opera/Music Theater and Vocal Performance/Pedagogy from Southern Illinois University and the University of Idaho, respectively. Dr. Morrow has sung professionally in opera, concerts and churches in Germany and Austria. Her opera performances in Europe and America include roles in Carmen, Falstaff, Wozzeck, The Marriage of Figaro, The Magic Flute, Otello, Lucia de Lammermoor, and Amahl and the Night Visitors. Her concert appearances have been heard in many states from Missouri to California, including Wyoming and New Mexico. She has appeared with the Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra, the Larimer Chorale and the Front Range Chamber Players.

    Dr. Morrow has served as president of the Colorado-Wyoming chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and also on the Board of Directors of the National Opera Association. Starting in 1996, she has been teaching the first Women in Music course at CSU and since then, her recitals and conference papers have concerned female composers.
