Chad Nicholson

Dr. Chad Nicholson is the Associate Director of Bands at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO. Dr. Nicholson teaches beginning and advanced undergraduate conducting courses in addition to conducting the Symphonic band, supervising the Concert Band and Pep Bands, and guest conducting the Wind Ensemble. Nicholson is the assistant director d the 235-piece CSU Marching Band, Director of the Rocky Mountain Summer Music Camp, and Coordinator of the CSU High School Honor Band.

Dr. Nicholson is a native Oklahoman and received his undergraduate degree in music education at the University of Oklahoma. His masters degree and doctorate were completed at New Mexico State University and Indiana University respectively. Nicholson has written articles for The Instrumentalist and Teaching Music Through Performance in Band, and he has presented clinics at the Midwest Clinic and the Colorado Music Educators Association conference. Nicholson has authored a book to be released in 2008 by Meredith Music designed to assist wind conductors in the process of literature selection.
