    Don Prorak, Artist/Instructor, Steel Pans, Percussion: Don's musical career has included virtually all aspects of percussion, but he now focuses almost exclusively on steel pan. He currently leads Pan Jumbies, as well as Toco Bay (with marimbist Jim Theobald).

    Don teaches steelband at Colorado State University, and Brighton Heritage Academy (School District 27J). He founded both programs about 8 years ago with his own collection of steel pan instruments.

    Pan is the national musical instrument of Trinidad & Tobago, and Don has travelled there many times to perform with some of the nation's top steelbands and pan artists.

    Dan has recorded & produced 2 CDs with Pan Jumbies, "Say It With Pan", and "Jam It With You". Don holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from the University of Illinois in Urbana, and a Master of Music degree in Percussion Performance from DePaul University.
